Our repertoire is drawn from medieval, renaissance, impressionistic and original sources, with a touch of the gothic about it. We relish creating contemporary arrangements of this wonderful music.

A lunchtime concert in Axminster July 30th...more details to follow

We are currently working on a long term project to conquer Brahm's F major clarinet sonata and we have found another of my compositions from the 1980s for clarinet. This year we will be adding a bowed psaltery to our musical resources and we are researching the Codex Manesse. We hope to combine an exhibition of some framed prints from this amazing document with one of our to performances and to include some of the songs from the Codex.

I am a singing teacher and performer based in Coventry. I studied singing at the Colchester Institute and much later added to my education at University of Warwick. There have been lots of collaborations in music making and theatrical pieces and many concerts for my pupils. Sarah and I started to work together 3 years ago and in our weekly rehearsals we have explored some of our favourite music to arrange for our unusual musical resources.

Sarah Laughton
Clarinet and Bass Clarinet
I play saxophone, clarinet, bass clarinet and recorders and I have been in Coventry bands since the mid 1990s including The Pigeons, Mother’s Jam and Superheroes Dream. I now play in The Moonbears and we are currently recording a double album. Music has always been at the centre of things for me - I remember picking up a recorder and reading my first music note when I was 5 years old. I started clarinet lessons at age 11 and taught myself saxophone in my 20s.

Dust has performed at Coventry venues: St. John the Baptist's Church, Old Windmill Pub, Nursery Tavern and Charterhouse.

Our signature picture is a drawing of Grace Barber nee Yates made by George Alan Yates. They were my grandparents.
