THERAPEUTIC MUSIC:
As well as my musical training, I am qualified as a counsellor and psychotherapist. Although I do not now work as a counsellor, I am very experienced in combining music with a therapeutic touch.
This results in two strands of work:
1.) Practical music making sessions: Suitable as a stress buster for people of all ages, including people who may have a special need
2.) Musical Life Coaching: Planning sessions to support you to make important decisions about your musical life or career: suitable for anyone feeling they are at a turning point or may struggle with nerves or lack of confidence in their ability to work through musical challenges. |

| Practical Music Making Sessions |
|
I can support you to enjoy music sessions as a therapeutic pastime. You can attend sessions weekly or monthly and have a session of musical learning in a relaxed environment. Perhaps you would like to see if you have a singing voice or if you are able to learn a little at the piano or keyboard. In addition to my keyboards, I have a wide range of percussion instruments. I work with individuals, groups and with families.
|
A therapeutic music session with me could include:
- Improvising or composing your own music with me.
- Breathing techniques for relaxation and strengthening your voice
- Use of all the musical instruments: keyboards and wide range of percussion.
- Drumming sessions
- Creating dramatic musical stories, including recording this in a graphic format
- Experimenting with sound
- Experimenting with visual arts and music
