HOW THINGS WORK
LIZZIE HAS NO VACANCIES AT THE MOMENT 09/03/10
I am usually fully booked for individual lessons, so we decided to establish a Start Up Programme to field the many enquiries that we get at Unlock the Music. The Start Up Programme with Jennian King supports you to establish your breathing and singing exercise regime and includes work on a repertoire of songs with us. I also hold a waiting list for more advanced singers, but I do recommend this way to start up for many of you. As soon as a vacancy crops up for individual lessons with me, the Start Up Pupils will usually get the chance of that. Jenny works closely under my supervision and is herself an excellent singer.

FEES
From April 2010 the charge for your initial consultation will be £35, payable in advance.
My fee for regular lessons is £30 from April 2010. You can pay
weekly, but there are fee reductions for people booking and paying for
a block of up to 10 lessons in advance.
From April 2010 fees for Start Up lessons are £14 for half an hour and are payable 4 sessions in advance.
FIRST LESSON
The first lesson is an introductory session and will give you a flavour of how we work. We will also discuss possible dates and times. I will tell you if I think we can work together and you will then need to decide whether you would like to take up my offer.
LENGTH and FREQUENCY OF LESSONS
Most of my pupils have an hour lesson fortnightly. Children under 12 have half an hour. It all depends on what you want to achieve and what you can afford.
Some people commission two lessons a week for a period prior to an audition.
For maximum benefit from any music lessons you need to attend at least fortnightly, especially if you do have auditions or performances coming up or if you have some issues with your vocal production that you want to work on.

I can accommodate most musical styles: I am classically trained and also sing and play in the popular styles.
OBTAINING SHEET MUSIC
I will loan you music until we find something that you really want to work on. I will advise you on how to download sheet music from Internet sites.
